When can I book Code Leicester for the 2024/25 academic year?

Bookings for 2024/25 are open now for Code Leicester! The easiest way to book is online because the website shows you live availability.
A few of the room types are already sold out, but if you don't see the type of studio flat you want, you can still register your interest and let us know your budget by talking to the online chat team.

How can I book a viewing and take a tour of Code Leicester?

We love to show students around Code Leicester and have made it super easy for you to visit:
You can book an in-person viewing or a personalised 1-2-1 virtual tour at your chosen time and date. Simply complete the Book a Viewing Form. Please make your booking at least 24 hours before you would like your tour to take place.
Booking slots for the tours are available:
CODE Leicester: Monday - Saturday from 9am - 5pm
Just drop in during opening hours. It's always better if you book in advance, but we also welcome you to come in if you are passing by.
You can also book a viewing and visit the show flat and tour CODE's great facilities.

Why do I need to accept Terms and Conditions when booking Code Leicester?

The Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) set out the agreement between you and Code Leicester. It is a legal way to ensure both sides know what agreement is being entered into when a booking is made.
This is a binding contract, so we ask you to accept (tick a box) to confirm you have read and accepted the T&Cs before paying any money. You will not be able to proceed until you have ticked the box.

How much do I need to pay for Code Leicester?

You can reserve your room by paying one week's rent (refundable holding deposit) online, on the phone or in the office. The deposit is deducted from your first rent instalment.
They will then prepare a tenancy agreement for you to sign detailing the instalment dates.
Payment options
We offer three ways to pay for Code Leicester.
4 instalments: If you know someone who is a homeowner in England (including the Isle of Wight or Isle of Man), Wales or the Channel Islands and is willing to be your Guarantor, you can pay your rent in 4 easy instalments.
If you are on a 4 instalment plan you payment dates will be 24th July, 24th October, 24th January, 24th April.
2 instalments: If you do not have a Guarantor, we will split your payments into 2.
For a 2 instalment plan your payment dates are 24th July and 24th October.
This is a popular choice with EU or International students.
Pay in full: If you would like to pay your rent in one lump sum, that is not a problem.
The easiest way to pay is via your student portal (which is set up once you have made a booking) but we also accept payment by most leading debit/credit cards. If you prefer to pay via a bank transfer, we can also arrange this but note, your bank may charge for this service.
Booking after 25 April? You will need to pay your £400 Refundable Tenancy Deposit following your booking. The team will contact you to make this payment asap.

Can I request which block or floor I want at Code Leicester?

You may already know which block you want to stay in at Code Leicester and which floor you want to be on. Whilst they cannot guarantee a certain location, they can try our best to accommodate your request.

Can myself and my friend book rooms next to each other at Code Leicester?

If you want to live next door to a specific person, please Code Leicester team know as soon as possible. They cannot guarantee a certain location but they will do their best to try and locate you next to each other or on the same corridor. Please note, for data protection purposes we will ask you to both confirm this request. The easiest way to do this is to fill in the 'special requests' field if you book on the website. Or you can speak to the online Chat Angels, who can talk you through the best options.

How do I use the CODE gym for free before I move in to Code Leicester?

If you book a room at Code Leicester for September 2024 (and have a payment option with a guarantor) you can use the gym for free now before you move in! That's up to 9 free months of gym membership! All you need to do is complete your booking and then call into the Accommodation Office. The helpful staff will give you a fob which you can use to gain access to the entrance and gym. T&Cs 1) You must have booked a room for 2024/25 and paid your holding deposit to qualify. 2) Only students who have a Guarantor are eligible for this offer. 3) Your booking must be complete i.e. your one week’s holding deposit has been paid and paperwork, including the Guarantor Agreement, has been completed. 4) If you cancel your booking, you will be asked to return your fob to the CODE office, either in person or by recorded post. 5) If you lose your fob, you must notify us immediately. Lost fobs will be charged at our standard rate of £20. 6) By receiving your fob, you agree to use the gym respectfully and take full responsibility for any damages that may occur due to misuse. The accommodation will be reimbursed the total cost of repairing any damages caused by misuse.

Do you allow two people to live in one room at Code Leicester?

The studios are designed for individuals but in some of the rooms, they may be able to consider dual occupancy. Please note this only applies to certain room types on each site. CODE Leicester Leicester rooms that allow dual occupancy: Gold Penthouse City Studio - Floor 9 (from £185 per week) Gold Penthouse River Studio - Floor 9 (from £185 per week) Gold Extra-Large City Studio, Floors G-4 (from £185 per week) Gold Extra-Large Courtyard Studio, Floors G-4 (from £185 per week) Silver Super-Large City Studio, Floors 2-4 (from £179 per week) Silver Super-Large Courtyard Studio, Floors G-2 (from £179 per week) Gold Super-Large City Studio (from £189 per week) Please note: in dual occupancy rooms only one occupant will accept the Tenancy Agreement and be responsible for the room. This means the named occupant on the contract must sign a hard copy of the contract in our office before any keys can be handed out. Management cannot be held accountable for any dispute among dual occupancy tenants.

Question 11

I need to make up my mind, can a room be held for me without paying a deposit at Code Leicester?

Unfortunately, they are unable to hold any rooms in Code Leicester without a holding deposit of one week's rent being taken. If you booked your room and you were to change your mind, you would be entitled to a refund of your holding deposit within 7 days of booking and as long as you have not signed your tenancy agreement.
