Who can book a room?

The accommodation open to full time students, intending to study at a UK university, and those coming the UK to do a short-term language course. You must be 18 years old or over.

What is the minimum time I can book?

You can book for a minimum of 4 weeks and up to 51 weeks, which covers a whole academic year.

What type of rooms are available?

They have room types to meet all needs and budgets. The most popular types are Ensuites which are rooms with bathrooms but where you share a kitchen with up to 5-6 other residents. And their studios have their own private kitchen and bathroom.

Is there a parking area?

Unfortunately, none of the accommodations have private parking for residents. However, there will be some arrangements made to support the check–in process and parking spaces arranged for new arrivals at some of the accommodation. Please contact your accommodation team for more information.

How can I order a taxi?

The team on reception cannot order a taxi on your behalf. They recommend you download the Uber / Bolt apps to order your taxi, which you can do my adding credit and debit cards as well as PayPal, Venmo, digital wallet and Uber gift cards.

Can I send my luggage or boxes before my check in?

Unfortunately, there is no place to store items in the accommodations. They suggest to arrange delivery right after check in day for you to take belongings to your room.

How do I access the building and my room?

On arrival you will be issued with a credit style room key, that will open the main doors to the building and your room.

Can I access the accommodation 24 hours a day?

Accepted Answer

All their accommodations are open 24h / 7 days a week using your entry key. There will be someone at reception 24 hours a day to help you.

What are the room sizes and bed sizes?

Room and bed sizes are provided on the amber website. Click the location tab and navigate to the property of your choice and click the room tab to find out the size of the bed and the floorplan of the room.
