At Acolyte Living, we strive to maintain transparency in all our dealings. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds are processed for different types of fees. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities regarding refunds.

Booking Fee

The Booking Fee collected at the time of securing a student's accommodation is strictly non-refundable. This applies irrespective of change of mind, personal circumstances, or withdrawal by the student. A refund shall only be considered in the rare event that a confirmed booking cannot be fulfilled due to an internal administrative error. In such cases, upon verification, we can process a full refund of the Booking Fee. Except for the above limited circumstance, no other situation shall qualify for a refund of the Booking Fee.

Service Fee and Platform Fee

The Service Fee and Platform Fee are charged for the operational, administrative, and technological support provided by Acolyte Living. These fees are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.

A refund will only be considered if Acolyte Living has not rendered any service whatsoever—meaning no accommodation options, guidance, or support of any kind has been provided after the student’s onboarding.

If such a case arises, the refund shall be processed solely at the discretion of Acolyte Living after internal verification, and the approved amount (if any) will be initiated within ten (10) to twenty (20) working days. Except for the above scenario, no other situation shall qualify for a refund of the Service Fee or Platform Fee.

Accommodation Rent and Deposit

All payments made by students towards accommodation rent, deposit, or allied charges directly to the landlord, property owner, or accommodation provider shall be governed exclusively by the terms, policies, and refund rules of the said landlord or provider.

Acolyte Living acts solely as an intermediary and does not exercise control over landlord policies regarding cancellations, forfeitures, or deductions.

Consequently, Acolyte Living shall not, under any circumstances, be liable for refunding, reimbursing, or compensating such amounts, whether in full or in part.

Students and clients are strongly advised to review and understand the landlord's terms before remitting any deposit or rental payment.

General Provisions on Refunds

  • i. All refunds, once approved, shall be made through the original mode of payment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • ii. Processing times may vary depending on the payment gateway, financial institution, or banking channels involved, and Acolyte Living shall not be liable for delays outside its control.
  • iii. No interest shall accrue or be payable on any refunded amount, regardless of the time taken for processing.
  • iv. Requests for refunds must be raised in writing, accompanied by relevant supporting documentation, and within a reasonable period from the date of the transaction.
