A resident is able to sublease or do a lease takeover if they would like to vacate before the end of their lease. The difference between a sublease and a lease takeover is that when you sublease, that person can move in at any time during the lease term; however, the original leaseholder would still be responsible for the lease, in case of damages and/or unpaid rent. Also, the original leaseholder is able to regain occupancy at any time before the end of their lease. When someone is doing a lease takeover, the person taking over the original lease would assume all responsibilities and the original leaseholder would no longer be responsible at all. For either option, the person would need to complete and pay for an application online and sign a new lease before approval.
