Some PBSAs offer combined contracts for language classes + a regular semester stay, allowing you to book according to your needs. 2. Early check-in to familiarize with the area Suppose you want to check in early for a few days to get familiar with the nearby neighborhood or local amenities before the long-term rental starts. You can contact the team to confirm availability during the turnover period (typically 7 days for cleaning/maintenance between tenants).

You can move out before the lease expires, but you still need to pay the rent for the remaining months in the lease, or sublease the room and let others continue to pay the rent; otherwise, it will be a breach of contract. Please note that breaking the contract does not only mean the loss of the deposit; the apartment has the right to recover all your remaining rent.
