The Chateau Student Housing Co-op is a 127-unit apartment complex located in Dinkytown near the University of Minnesota’s East Bank. As the tallest building in Dinkytown, it boasts some some of the most spectacular views in the University area. Just a couple blocks from the U of M campus and in the heart of the historic Dinkytown neighborhood, the Chateau is in the perfect location. At the Chateau, all leases start at six months and then automatically go month-to-month after that. The Chateau just might have the most flexible lease terms of any apartment building near campus! Due to the fact that the leasing structure is so unique, our residents enjoy a great deal of flexibility in deciding when they might potentially move in or out of the building. Most of our move-ins during the year occur in June; this is because many residents choose to move out of the Chateau once they graduate and no longer need to be located near campus. This does make it somewhat difficult to forecast apartment availabilities for potential new residents, but we do keep an interest list for students who are interested in living in the Chateau during the summer or fall.
