This guide covers what the intranet is, how to sign in, what to do when sign-in fails, how to keep your account safe and where NTU says to get help. Details marked Verified (NTU) come from NTU's own web pages. Anything marked General advice is practical guidance, not an official statement. NTU can change its systems, so check the linked NTU pages for the latest instructions.

Find your perfect student accommodation
Verified (NTU). NTU describes the Student Intranet as the starting point for student services, information and resources. It brings academic, administrative and student life information together in one place. NTU's orientation material for international students calls it the "NTU Student Portal (Intranet)" and associates it with academic records, finance and administrative matters. That is why people also search for "NTU student portal".
NTU's guidance says the refreshed intranet offers:
Don't confuse it with other "intranets" or other "NTUs". NTU also has a separate Staff Intranet, and some schools run their own intranet pages. "NTU" is also the abbreviation for other universities, including Nottingham Trent University and Navajo Technical University. If the page you are on does not belong to Nanyang Technological University, close it.
Verified (NTU). NTU has moved some internal information off its public website and onto the intranet. An example is the hall floor plans mentioned on hall pages.
General advice. Do not search for "NTU login" and click an advert or an unfamiliar result. A bookmark made from the official footer link is safer.
Verified (NTU). NTU's Centre for IT Services describes two separate accounts:
Two points trip up many new students:
Verified (NTU). NTU provides a Network Account Password Changer at pwd.ntu.edu.sg. Its published rules are:
If you have forgotten your password, NTU provides a Self Service Password Reset portal, and says a one-time code is sent to your registered mobile number or email address. NTU recommends changing the reset password as soon as possible.
Verified (NTU). For Office 365 EDU accounts issued from 1 November 2022 onwards, NTU asks students to set up two-factor authentication. You can enrol using a one-time password by SMS. NTU also describes other methods, such as a call back to a mobile or landline and the Microsoft Authenticator app. NTU suggests configuring more than one method.
Everything in this table comes from NTU's published guidance. If none of it solves the problem, go to the support section below.
| Problem | What NTU's guidance suggests |
| E-services will not work on a new account | Change the initial network account password first. NTU says this is required before e-services can be used. |
| Forgot your password | Use the Self Service Password Reset portal on NTU's official password pages. |
| Account locked | NTU says accounts lock after six wrong entries. Check your details carefully and use the reset portal or contact the IT Service Desk. |
| Intranet password works but email does not (or the reverse) | The network and Office 365 EDU passwords are separate and not synced. Check you are using the right one. |
| Email asks for extra verification | Complete two-factor authentication using NTU's setup guide, and register a second method. |
| Old phone number or external email on file | Update it in Student Services on the Student Intranet, under Administrative Matters, then Update Personal Particulars. |
| Wi-Fi will not connect | Use NTU's device-specific setup guides for NTU_Secure or eduroam on the Internet, Account and Policy page. |
General advice. If you are locked out, do not keep guessing. Repeated wrong attempts are what trigger the lock.
Verified (NTU). NTU warns about fake emails, SMS and WhatsApp messages. Its guidance is to check links before clicking and to delete suspicious messages without replying or forwarding them. If you clicked a link or entered personal information, NTU says to change your password immediately on its official password site and contact the IT Service Desk. NTU also advises people affected by phishing scams to lodge a police report.
General advice.
Verified (NTU). The services NTU names include browsing student services by topic, using the E-Services page for applications such as Course Registration, Degree Audit and Financial Assistance, and finding guides and updates from your school and NTU offices. The exact menus change as NTU updates the site, so use the intranet's own search to find a specific service.
Other student resources NTU lists outside the intranet include Wi-Fi setup, the library, and student life information such as clubs, sports and wellbeing.

For non-IT matters, NTU directs you to its main Contact Us page. If you are calling from overseas, add Singapore's country code (+65) and check the hours against Singapore time.
Your intranet access matters most once you have a place to study and live. Some NTU hall pages note that floor plans are on the Student Intranet, so you will need your account working early in your search.
If you are applying from abroad and do not have a hall place yet, Acolyte Living's guide on how to secure student accommodation in Singapore as an international student explains the process step by step. NTU itself advises starting an off-campus search at least two months before classes.
Bookmark the official Student Intranet link, change your network account password, set up two-factor authentication for email, and save the IT hotline number. If you are new to Singapore or NTU, a broader overview of campus, transport and student life will help. A full NTU Singapore student guide is planned for this site.
1. What is the NTU intranet?
It is NTU's online starting point for student services, information and resources. NTU describes it as bringing academic, administrative and student life information together in one place.
2. What is the official NTU student intranet address?
NTU links to the Student Intranet from the footer of its main website. At the time of checking, the address was https://student-intranet.ntu.edu.sg. Reach it from ntu.edu.sg and bookmark it, rather than following links in messages.
3. What is my NTU student login?
NTU says new students use the username they chose when accepting the online offer. Exchange and non-graduating students use their matriculation number. NTU's Internet, Account and Policy page explains the initial password and the steps to change it.
4. I forgot my password. What should I do?
Use NTU's Self Service Password Reset portal. NTU says a one-time code is sent to your registered mobile number or email address. If that does not work, contact the IT Service Desk.
5. Why is my account locked?
NTU says an account locks after six wrong password entries. Use the reset portal or contact the IT Service Desk rather than continuing to guess.
6. Is NTULearn the same as the NTU intranet?
No. NTU lists NTULearn as a separate e-learning service that uses your network account. The Student Intranet is the starting point for student services and information.
7. Where can I get help with NTU IT problems?
Call the IT Technical Assistance Hotline on 6790 4357 (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm), visit the One Stop Tech Lounge at One Stop @ SAC, or use the online enquiry form on NTU's Contact Service Desk page.
