NTU has three campuses in Singapore:
| Campus | Address | Part of Singapore | What it is |
| Main campus (Yunnan Garden) | 50 Nanyang Avenue, Singapore 639798 | West, near Jurong West and Boon Lay | The large residential campus where most students study and where the halls of residence are |
| NTU@one-north | 11 Slim Barracks Rise, Singapore 138664 | Centre-south, beside Biopolis | A satellite site with two wings, the Executive Centre and the Alumni House |
| Novena campus | 11 Mandalay Road, Singapore 308232 | Healthcare district | NTU's medical campus |
The one-north district itself was developed by JTC as a research and high-technology cluster. It sits in the Queenstown area and is organised around Biopolis, Fusionopolis and Mediapolis. So "NTU one north" really means the satellite campus, not the main campus.

Find your perfect student accommodation
Most NTU undergraduates will spend their time at the main campus. NTU describes NTU@one-north as having teaching and training facilities. Public NTU pages also show it hosting conferences, seminars and executive-style events. Third-party summaries suggest it supports some graduate and executive programmes, but confirm with your faculty or programme office before assuming your classes are there.
This guide suits three groups:
NTU says the campus is within walking distance of two stations: Buona Vista (EW21/CC22) and one-north (CC23). NTU's own contact pages estimate roughly a 7–8 minute walk from either station to the Executive Centre. Buona Vista's Exit B is the one that serves the NTU@one-north area.
Buona Vista is an interchange between the East–West and Circle lines. The one-north station is on the Circle Line, one stop from Buona Vista.
NTU's directions for drivers use the AYE (Ayer Rajah Expressway). Take the North Buona Vista Road exit, join One-North Gateway, then turn into Slim Barracks Rise. There is a car park on site, so check the current charges.
NTU's official visitor information names two nearest stations on the East–West Line. They are Boon Lay (EW27) and Pioneer (EW28).
Future rail link: the Jurong Region Line is under construction and is expected to open in stages between 2027 and 2029 according to Singapore's planning authority. NTU is in the later part of that programme. Check the Land Transport Authority (LTA) for confirmed opening dates before assuming it will serve your first year.
We haven't verified an official shuttle between NTU@one-north and the main campus. Buona Vista and Boon Lay are both on the East–West Line, so the broad route is westbound on that line and then a campus bus. Use a live journey planner for timings, because we haven't verified any door-to-door times.
NTU promotes a wide range of campus dining, from international cuisines and local snacks to fast food and coffee kiosks. It also has sports and recreation facilities. Many students use Boon Lay and Pioneer for wider shopping and services.
Purpose-built student accommodation is limited in Singapore compared with cities such as London. Because of that, the usual starting point is the university's own housing. NTU says new students are guaranteed on-campus housing for their first two years. For 2026/27 entrants, NTU's housing page listed an application window of 2 to 22 June 2026. Expect a similar yearly cycle and confirm the dates on NTU's site. Our guide on how to secure student accommodation in Singapore as an international student covers application timing and private options.
This gives you the shortest commute to lectures and the strongest campus community. Rates vary by hall and room type, so use NTU's Hall Rental Fees page as the primary source.
If your priority is a central location or access to the one-north area, Queenstown is a practical option. One verified example on our site is MDIS Residences @ Stirling in Queenstown, at 503 Stirling Road. The Queenstown MRT station (EW19) serves Stirling Road, and Buona Vista is two stops further along the East–West Line. At the time of checking, the listing showed room types from SGD 894 per month, with higher prices for single, deluxe and corner rooms.
The listing page does not claim a specific distance to NTU. If your classes are at the main campus, this is a cross-island commute on the same East–West Line plus a bus, so check it against your timetable.
Jurong West, Boon Lay and Pioneer offer shorter commutes to the main campus. We haven't verified an Acolyte Living listing in those areas, so we don't recommend one here.
| Option | Best suited to | Commute logic | Indicative monthly cost* |
| NTU hall (main campus) | Students with a hall place | On campus | Check NTU's rates page; Acolyte guides cite roughly SGD 300–900 across NUS and NTU |
| Student residence in Queenstown | Students wanting a central base | Queenstown to Buona Vista is two stops; main campus needs East–West Line plus bus | Listing from SGD 894; Acolyte guide cites SGD 1,200–2,000 for private-room PBSA |
| HDB room | Students without a hall place | Depends on distance from the MRT | Roughly SGD 800–1,500 |
| Private condo studio | Students with a housing allowance | Depends on location | Roughly SGD 2,000–3,500 |

If you study at the main campus and win a hall place, living on campus is simplest. If you need a central base, or your course or work centres on one-north, Queenstown and Buona Vista give strong MRT access but a longer trip west. If you're unsure which campus you'll use, check your offer letter and timetable first, then compare commutes.
