The apartment will send an email a few months in advance asking tenants whether they want to renew the lease. Students need to reply to the apartment whether they want to renew the lease and sign the renewal contract after receiving an accurate reply from the apartment.

Contact the prperty via email to inquire whether you can check in early and wait for their accurate reply.

After the lease termination, the 4 weeks bond is returned by the RTBA.

Once the contract expires, you will automatically check out. If you need to terminate the lease early, you must contact the apartment. According to Victoria state regulations, subleasing is permitted.

The check-in date and address are already stated in the contract, so be sure to check them carefully. When choosing a check-in time, it's best to choose working hours (usually 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday). If your purchased flight doesn't allow you to check in during the apartment's working hours, you'll need to arrange your own accommodation for the night or contact the apartment in advance to see if you can check in during off-hours. Some apartments require a fee for off-hours check-in, so please be aware of this.

When the contract expires, you will automatically check out. Please clean the room and have the front desk check the room hygiene before returning the access card to the front desk.
