I truly appreciate the way the Every Student team, especially Liam and the management at 600 King Street, handled my situation with such understanding and professionalism. Everything was managed fairly and with great communication. I’m genuinely thankful for their support and would gladly recommend Every Student to future students. Since it’s also one of the nearest accommodations to the university, I definitely recommend it to new students.

Been a resident here for 3 months now. All the amenities are top notch. Closest Student accommodation to the University of Aberdeen. Friendly staff who go out of their way to ensure your experience here at Every Student is the best. Would highly recommend.

It's been 5 months since I moved in, and overall I am happy with this accommodation. When I booked the accommodation, it was at the early stage of the pandemic situation and I was worried if I could make it the UK or not. They have been very understanding about my situation and provided me with maximum support. The service is very friendly and responsive and I feel so secure. My additional star is about the gesture they exhibit which is very nice.

Absolutely no idea why this place has such high reviews. Was originally living in Don Street House, but Every Student decided to evict EVERYBODY ONSITE because they somehow had no idea that only 20 of us would move in in September until we all arrived. HORRIBLE experience moving. A £500 pound gift voucher was not enough for all the hassle. I booked DSH for specific reasons, with specific friends, and when they evicted us all they reassigned us to whatever empty rooms they had in KSE with additional strangers we'd never met before. The walls are all PAPER thin, as in, I can hear every word somebody says at a normal volume, crystal clear, at any time of day. the bathroom pipes are all connected so you can also hear every single bathroom in the flat, and smell every bathroom and the kitchen at the same time😍. I specifically asked for a room that didn't look onto the roads because I have a unique safety issue, and this was ignored, so the the view into my room has made me feel unsafe at all times, and because literally every single room on site is filled (after evicting and shutting 2 sites in Aberdeen), it is impossible to move. Someone else in my flat is locked into spending more than her room is advertised for since we were all evicted in October because she signed a contract for a more luxury room in Don Street. The laundry is so expensive (£3 per wash, not including drying). All of the rooms which face onto King Street are SO LOUD because the windows are single pane, it's hellish. Also you can turn up the temperature on the thermostats and sometimes they just decide to refuse to turn on so you have to sit shivering💀. 1 free cookie or sandwich in reception every 4 months is not worth this hell. Also when we were all evicted and forced to move into our flat at KSE, it was extremely obvious that the reason the flat hadn't been occupied by anybody since September was because literally every appliance was broken. I'm not kidding, we needed the microwave, fridge and kettle replaced, the oven fixed, the kitchen sink was leaking over the floor, the current in the plug sockets flickers, my shower just chooses a random temperature to run at, no matter what I move the dial to, and there's something up with all the toilet u-bends cus all of the toilets smell like waste is coming back up the pipes. Also the tap water tastes disgusting. I actually get excited to go to campus, the gym, and my friends flats because I get to fill my water bottle up with clean water to bring home💀🧟‍♀️. Basically do not sign with Every Student, they do not care about you at all. I would take any sleazy private landlord over Every Student any day. They've been begging all of us to rebook with them for next year by extending their rebooker's discount deadlines and offering completely free laundry but nobody is taking them up on the offer. I'm trying to say that they might evict you as well if it's too empty here in September so cancel your contracts whilst you still can xxx

My experience of living in Unite King Street Exchange Halls was terrible and is definitely not a 'home away from home' as their website declares. Amongst a multitude of issues with the room was a massive larder beatle infestation which plagued our kitchen and bedrooms for months. Many futile attempts were made by tenants to have the situation dealt with. Instead of listening or taking much action the staff chose to blame students for introducing the insects and even fined a block of tenants. Small steps were taken to fumigate small pockets of the building but throughout the whole of my stay insects were found in the kitchen and dropped from the ceiling onto beds and tables. The receptionist was very unfriendly and rude, laughing at the problem and didn't really bother helping us out. When the floor was replaced in the kitchen they didn't bother finishing the job properly and said it was up to us to remind them! One day when i was feeling unwell, a more senior member of staff who I had never met before knocked on my door and insisted to talk to me. I asked him if he could come back later since I was so unwell and he refused and persisted in talking to me saying that they were blaming the tenants for this insect infestation. The whole year was incredibly stressful and this reduced me to tears. It is more unfair because Unite is meant to be a more premium university accommodation and they charge more than normal university halls and the quality should be high for the prices they charge. They have taken advantage of the idea that students are less caring about their environment. To go through this in first year was terrible after leaving the comforts of home. If you are choosing University accommodation in Aberdeen please do not choose here.
