I've yet to arrive in Brighton but the amount of problems that have already arisen is honestly laughable. Zero customer service. I had to book accommodation last minute due to personal reasons, and the only condition I'd chose IQ was that I'd be given an installment plan according to when I joined - which I was told would happen over the phone. (this was made veryyyy clear) Since that point I've tried endlessly to contact them for the past two weeks for my installment plan to be adjusted as discussed (something that should be simple). the amount of time and money I've spent on these international calls to chase them, only to get no response is insane. Zero replies to my emails, the only person who magically once picked up the phone said they'd get back to me only to then once again, hear nothing. crickets. Only now after I've filed a complaint have they bothered to respond with a lousy email saying they can't do anything. Maybe make your service phone number actually work and don't trap your customers with false pretenses? pathetic

I kept some of my stuff there over the summer and was told that i would find them, only for them to be donated. It has a silverfish infestation that I was told there's nothing that they could do about, and some of the staff were rude. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Stay far away.

The Rooms were too hot during summer. And One staff member in particular is very rude to ALL students there, David. that's my only 2 complaints, if you don't care about this then you'll be fine.

Horrible to live. Very rude stuff especially DAVID . For my whole stay I felt like I was the stuff and they are the customer. They are very unprofessional and extremely rude for no reason. Also stuff are asking you to write good comments, literally they are asking to take your phone and write a good comment about ‘how good is the stuff lol’ I would never ever choose this place again. i was in a holiday and when I arrived I went to collect my parcel it was already open. If it was something expensive probably they would steal it. Plus rooms are too hot in summer u cannot even stay after May I wish I could give 0 start. share kitchens are so dirty . JUST DISGUSTINGLY HORRIBLE

I lived in this iq building for 2 years. While the receptionists (especially David) are absolutely amazing, this may be the only positive to living here. On moving in day the bedroom, ensuite and shared kitchen were filthy. I spent over 2 hours cleaning the room before I was even comfortable to move my stuff into the room, this included pulling out all the drawers and discovering that the last occupant of the room had shoved empty food wrappers behind all the drawers. I was put into a room that did not have an openable window nor was there any kind of ventilation. Throughout the 2 years, the building had multiple plumbing issues when we were left without hot water or no water at all alongside issues with the internet providers ASK4. I had problems with flatmates smoking in the shared kitchen and when informing reception about this was told "there's nothing they can do about it" despite smoking inside the building being against the rules mentioned in the contract. The rooms themselves are okay, if you end up with an openable window, but you have to pay more to receive one. Goodluck if you run into any problems on a weekend, security who work evenings and weekends are rarely at the desk or in the staff room, and if they are there, they often cant help. Our flat had a broken front door for months, which multiple people complained about and led to a random man (who did not live in the building) walking into our flat, this door was still broken when I moved out.
