I had a really good first year staying at Brae House. The accommodation is in a great location as it’s about a 25-minute walk to the university, and there are regular buses nearby if you don’t feel like walking. Being close to the Royal Mile and Meadowbank Shopping Centre was really convenient, with plenty of shops, supermarkets, and places to eat within easy reach. The accommodation was quite social, which made it easier to meet new people and settle into university life. I made some great friends during my time here and enjoyed being part of the student community. The location, transport links, and social environment all helped make my first year a positive experience, and I would recommend Brae House to students looking for accommodation in Edinburgh.

I had a really great time in Brae House. It is really close to my campus at Moray House, however, if you study at Main Campus or Kings it would be a bit further out. It is really clean and tidy-my room could get a bit dusty at times even with regular cleaning but having no carpets made a difference. Maintenance were excellent, if there was a problem they would sort it within a day. The staff were always very welcoming and friendly. Circuit laundry could be improved, a machine will work one day and the next it will be dodgy. However, I think it could've been a lot worse. If you weren't friendly with the people in your flat and didn't know people already, it could be difficult to meet people in the accommodation-I think there were events and socials on throughout the year but not sure how well-attended they were. However, I always felt safe walking around the accommodation, even coming in late at night. Overall, I would really recommend Brae, especially to those studying at Moray House.

I’ve met a lot of great people at Brae. If you’re unsure about meeting people, there’s a lot of community events where you can meet people. The reception staff is amazing as well and maintenance issues are solved asap. Brae house is about 25 minutes from main campus, but the 35 leaves right outside. Circuit laundry is a bit of a pain but you’ll have that at most uni accommodations. The rooms are really nice overall and the bathrooms are quite big as well (especially the showers)

I had a great experience staying at Brae House. The accommodation is very nice, well-maintained, and has a modern, clean feel that makes everything run smoothly on a daily basis. As an international student, I found it especially comfortable and easy to settle into. The location a bit far but a nice 15 minutes walk from my campus, which isn't that bad. Overall, a really positive experience and a place I would recommend to other students.
