Rooms are assigned on arrival. However, students can provide their preferences in advance and we will do our best to follow them - depends on the availability at the time.

Students can request a room change/swap and if a suitable room is found, the room change can take a place.

Subletting fee of 75 pounds

The cooling off period ends once you have moved into the accommodation, even if you move into the accommodation within 3 working days of concluding your contract. A Termination of Tenancy payment of £75.00 will apply which we may deduct from your security deposit. You will be required to find a replacement tenant, reasonably acceptable to Mansion Student, to take over your accommodation contract. Mansion Student will use reasonable endeavors to help you to find a replacement tenant but cannot guarantee that a replacement tenant will be available. Mansion Student will assist in finding a replacement tenant, but this will only apply when all other rooms in the property are occupied*. Please note: You remain responsible for all rent due as defined in your accommodation contract until a replacement tenant has been found for your accommodation and all required documentation has been completed with the replacement tenant. Any security deposit refund or advance rent payment refunds due to you will be paid once the replacement tenant has completed all the required documentation. *Please note Mansion Student will only assist you to find a replacement tenant for you once full occupancy has been achieved for the property. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please refer to the standard terms and conditions attached to your Accommodation Contract for full details of terms.

Once you have received a confirmed contract and prior to your tenancy start date; you will receive information by email on what to do & expect when you arrive to check-in along with useful information. You will also be able to book your check-in appointment via this check-in email which you need to book before you arrive. Please ensure before you arrive that your rent has been paid and is up to date in line with your Contract Agreement. The only time this will not apply is, if you have requested and received confirmation that your request to defer your rent in line with your student loan payment dates have been approved. (This only applies to 3 Termly payments). Please don't forget to download the Mansion Student app from the Google Play or iOS store by searching for "mansionstudent" to manage your Tenancy and get the latest information from the site team.

What happens when I check out? When it is time to checkout you can either make a checkout appointment for a room inspection with the Hospitality team or, you can leave your keys at a designated location, and we will inspect your room after your departure. Please ensure that you complete the Checkout Inspection form before you leave. Please remember to leave your accommodation in the same condition as it was when you checked-in; clean and rubbish free, or extra charges may apply for damage/cleaning. Can I check out before the end of my tenancy? If you decide to check out before your contract ends then please let the onsite team know and we will arrange a room inspection before/after your departure. Please ensure that the room is clean as charges may apply. Please note that if you wish to leave early you are still liable for the rent up to when your tenancy ends and no refunds will be issued.
