Author King's Cross

We have been working with Author for over a year now, supporting the site team with delivering weekly group exercise classes for the residents. Darek and the concierge team have been excellent with assisting our team members during visits, the gym amenity itself is well equipped and reasonably spaced allowing us to deliver a strong variety of sessions.

I’ve been extremely impressed with the concierge team, who are always friendly, helpful and accommodating. The building is also incredibly well positioned and convenient, and I think the new manager is doing a really excellent job. I recently held a family occasion in one of the private rooms and the whole experience was superb. The dining table was beautifully set up, everything I had ordered was exactly as requested, and nothing was too much trouble. My guests were made to feel extremely welcome and the team made the whole occasion feel very special. It was also a real pleasure to be able to simply enjoy the evening knowing that everything would be taken care of afterwards. The room was completely cleared, cleaned and tidied, making the whole experience effortless from start to finish. A huge thank you to the entire team for such excellent service.

I really can’t say enough good things about my 2 bedroom apartment. I’ve been living here 18 months and couldn’t ask for more. The location is amazing the concierge service 10/10 and the management equally so. I couldn’t be happier and having been born and lived most of my life in London I can’t think of a home that I like more.

I have a great stay at Author Apartments in King’s Cross. The apartments are comfortable, well-maintained, and ideally located. A special thank you to Edson at the concierge, who was incredibly helpful and supportive with everything throughout my stay. He even helped me print some important documents I urgently needed for my visa application. His kindness and willingness to help made a real difference!

An incredibly frustrating experience with Author King’s Cross before I have even moved in. I started the process over six weeks ago, yet it took several weeks for the referencing checks to even begin. Once those were completed, nobody contacted me about the next steps. I sent repeated emails chasing a response, with no success. Only when I eventually managed to reach someone by phone did I receive the instructions to pay the deposit and first month’s rent. I paid both within two days. By then, their delays had already pushed everything into the final week before my move. It is now Friday, I am due to move in on Monday, and I still have no move-in instructions, no information about collecting keys, and no response to my emails. Calls to their published number are going unanswered. I am relocating internationally. Having completed the checks and paid the deposit and first month’s rent, I am now left wondering whether I can actually move in as planned. This is unacceptable communication at a point when people need certainty about something as basic as access to their new home. To the management team: please contact me urgently and confirm the arrangements for Monday. I should not have to post a public review to get a response. For anyone considering renting here, take note. This has been my experience throughout the application and move-in process.

I love this place I have been living here since end of 2023 ! I’ve really enjoyed living here. The concierge team is friendly, professional, and always helpful. The facilities are modern, clean, and very well maintained. The location is also excellent, with plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés, and transport links nearby. Overall, it’s an amazing place to live, beautiful, comfortable, convenient, and well-managed place to live.

This is absolutely one of those places to stay in London. It ticks every single box that I was looking for! Amazing amenities. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The building managers Darek and Marija Are always ready to help. The building is extremely clean very well maintained in an extremely safe area. The apartments Are well furnished. Five out of five. Feels like an absolute hotel experience.

We had a superb time living at Author for 5 weeks whilst our house was being renovated. Facilities are amazing, immaculately clean, really friendly and welcoming staff. A really memorable stay, thank you Author!

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this property. The staff’s behavior is extremely unprofessional and outright offensive — instead of helping, they resort to intimidation and borderline blackmail if you make even the smallest mistake. The so-called insurance they sell is nothing more than a scam — just a piece of paper that offers no real protection. I was misled into believing I was covered, only to be forced to pay £1,000 for an accident. To make matters worse, when I forgot my key, I was shockingly asked to stand outside my own building and treated with extreme rudeness. This level of customer treatment is beyond unacceptable. This has been one of the most disappointing and costly experiences of my life. I sincerely regret ever choosing this place and will never return. I strongly advise others to stay away to avoid falling into the same trap.
