Badly Managed Treated like children and personal gain People in management using thier authority as bullying Rude staff

David Bomberg House is a challenging place to live, there are 9 people in one flat so you feel like a battery hen living here and you are treat like children and the rent is very high and for the room you get is just very small. I've lived in better halls of accomodation and this was the worst. I guess the only positive thing was it was close to the University.

My experience at this place was unpleasant as many fire alarms were activated throughout the year, around 1 until 4am in the morning. Also building workers also steal money from me from my own room, around £100 pounds. The administration of the house didn’t reply to me or gave me a solution as they didn’t have any evidence that proved that the money was gone. However they don’t have CCTV in the ata so there isn’t any way to provide evidence. Be careful with your personal items too

Davidson House was a great place to live during my time at Kingston University London. It is in a very convenient location, just a short walk from the Penrhyn Road Campus, which made getting to classes easy and stress-free. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a friendly atmosphere. What made my stay especially enjoyable was the manager, who was always very kind, supportive, and approachable. She created a welcoming environment and was always happy to help whenever needed. I had a really positive experience at Davidson House and would happily recommend it to other students looking for a comfortable and well-managed place to stay.

I had a great stay at Davidson House. The manager truly takes amazing care of the place—you can really tell she cares and does her job exceptionally well. The rooms are a great size with beautiful big windows that bring in lots of natural light. The kitchens are spacious, comfortable, and a perfect spot to relax and chill. Overall, a very welcoming and well-managed place.

I’ve been really happy living at Davison. The best thing for me is the location — it’s very close to the university, which makes everyday life much easier and saves a lot of time on commuting. During my stay, the manager has been very friendly and supportive. Whenever I had any questions or needed help, she was always willing to assist, which made me feel comfortable and well looked after. The shared kitchen is spacious and always kept clean, making it a really nice place to cook and spend time in. It’s also very convenient for daily use. The sound insulation between rooms is also very good, so it’s easy to enjoy a quiet and private environment. When I’m in my room, I can really have my own space to relax, study, or rest without being disturbed. I’ve really enjoyed living here. It’s a comfortable, convenient, and well-managed place, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good living environment.

I would not recommend living here. The conditions are consistently uncomfortable and poorly managed. Rooms regularly become unbearably hot with little to no effective ventilation, making them difficult to use for long periods. This is an ongoing issue rather than an occasional inconvenience. There are also clear maintenance and hygiene problems throughout the building. Damp and general upkeep issues appear to be left unresolved, and communal areas such as entrances and lifts often have strong unpleasant smells that are not addressed properly. Access control is unreliable, with key fobs frequently failing and forcing residents to use alternative entrances, which can feel unsafe and inconvenient, particularly at night. Communication from management can also feel disorganised and intrusive rather than professional, with poor respect for resident privacy or boundaries. Overall, the accommodation does not meet a reasonable standard of comfort or management, and I would strongly advise others to consider alternative options.

Near the the uni, around a 5 minute walk. And only about a 10 minute walk to the shops. It's really conveniet. Plus the kitchen is large and equipped with induction stove tops.

I have been having an amazing experience staying at Davidson as it offers the best facilities, social space which works well as a work space too and tv another entertainment device to help relax. The cleanliness is another amazing factor to be continually living here.

The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, and the common areas were always kept clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and any maintenance issues were promptly resolved. The location also offered easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport, making it a very convenient place to stay.

Staff are really nice, in a great location for me - was close to the uni and close to my place of work so was ideal! Rooms are quite spacious and modern. Does get hot in the summer though but the rest of the year, you’re living comfortably

Overall great experience, friendly and helpful manager always willing to help. I had an exceptional stay at Davidson House during my time at Kingston University. The location couldn't be more convenient, as it's just a stone's throw away from a Sainsburys local and Kingston University campus. The accessibility to these spots made my daily routine incredibly smooth. The standout feature for me was the manager's warm and helpful nature. From day one, they went out of their way to ensure I felt comfortable and settled. Their approachability and willingness to assist made a world of difference – truly a supportive presence. There was also a waste disposal facility on the ground floor. It made maintaining a tidy and clean living space effortless. The convenience of disposing of waste without any hassle was something I greatly appreciated. A hoover, mop and bucket were also provided by the manager to help our shared kitchen stay clean. The location, coupled with the friendly manager and practical amenities, created a blend for a comfortable stay. One main area of improvement would have to be the heat. Unfortunately I had recorded indoor temperatues to be continuously around 30-38 degrees Celsius (86 - 100 Fahrenheit) within our bedroom and shared kitchen during the spring and summer months. (I brought my own room thermometer to record this data). I would recommend that each student purchases a tower fan to place within their rooms. As the heat can be a bit much. Overall, if you are a student and looking for accommodation close to Kingston University, I would recommend Davidson House. I have attached some photos of the 4th floor bedroom.
