Powis Place

So far my experience at Powis Place has been great overall. The maintenance and reception staff are kind and helpful. The environment feels very supportive, especially when it's away from home. I wish they had short term stays available though.

Honestly a good choice to consider booking if you’re gonna study here in Aberdeen. Location is fantastic, you’re close to several supermarkets and even an asian market. The en-suites are pretty spacious, the gym is really good for a private dormitory. The place is well maintained. The staff (Stephen and Christabel) are super nice and accommodating as well. Lovely place lovely people Facilities are great and rooms are pretty good for the price

I’ve had a great experience living at Homes for Students Powis Place. The location is ideal — just a short walk from the University of Aberdeen and close to the city centre, which makes everyday life really convenient. The accommodation itself is modern and clean, with a variety of room types to suit different needs, whether you prefer a studio or an en suite. The rent includes utilities and high-speed Wi-Fi, which makes budgeting easier. One of the best features is the on-site gym — it’s great to have it right here without needing to travel. The communal areas and roof terrace are perfect for relaxing and socialising with other students. The staff are friendly and respond quickly if you have any questions or maintenance needs. Overall, it’s a comfortable and enjoyable place to live, and I’d definitely recommend it to other students!

I’ve had a wonderful experience at Powis Place Student Accommodation! The facilities are modern, comfortable, and well-maintained, with spacious rooms that feel like home. The location is super convenient, with easy access to campus and the city center (we have two bus stops that go directly to the city center & to the airport just in front!). The staff are incredibly friendly and supportive, always making sure residents feel welcomed and cared for. What truly stands out is the amazing sense of community. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel included — from providing Iftar meals for Muslim students (residents) throughout Ramadan, to celebrating literally everything you can think of, like Chinese New Year, Christmas, Eid, St. Patrick’s Day, Pancake Day, and so much more. It’s such a fun, inclusive, and thoughtful environment. Highly recommend!

The Powis Place accommodation is great, the studio flats are the ideal amount of space and set-up. The gym is very large, with a wide range of equipment, which definitely makes the accommodation price worth it. Not having to worry about bills is great. The staff is kind and friendly. Sometimes the bin rooms get dirty, and people leave trash on the ground, though it is not the accommodations' fault. They throw a wide range of events to encourage socializing. The common room is large with big tables perfect for group study or activities, a tv, a pool table, and many couches. Laundry is expensive, but that seems to just be the norm for circuit laundry. The wifi is great, and the location is good in-between: it is close to town but not too far from the university, and you can basically walk anywhere from Powis Place.
