Honestly would not recommend this accommodation to anyone. Any issues take ages to be solved and the reception staff are very unprofessional. I had issues with water leaking through my bathroom and bedroom ceiling due to a leak above and it was not fixed even after 3 months, what they ended up doing was moving me room instead. It was an electrical hazard as the water pooled inside the bathroom light and tripped the electric whenever it was switched on leaving me showering in the dark which meant I fell over in the shower and hurt myself. This properly is loud and way to expensive for what you get. It could be a very nice place to live if they spent a bit of money on it and actually fixed issues when they arose rather than trying to ignore them for as long as possible. Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your experience and sincerely apologise for the issues you faced, particularly regarding the leak and delays in resolving it. This is not the standard we aim to provide. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will use your feedback to help improve our processes. Nice accommodation to live in, quiet and calm with no issues in my first year revolving around flatmates or dirty kitchens or anything. The accommodation does some lovely events that have a good attendance, and is in an ideal area where you have the famous Wilmslow Road filled with events and takeaways and multiple other shops close by with direct access to the city centre via buses. Calm, collected, and felt homely. Some issues with loud music playing from outside and cars revving their engines, but this is rare and staff are usually very quick to respond and act on issues such as these. Thank you for your lovely review!

As an MMU student, if you can get uni owned accommodation, PLEASE DO IT. Ropemaker was awful. Mushrooms grew out of the kitchen walls from damp (that was inspected and then nothing happened). More than £200 a week while being far from campus, wifi did not work on my phone whatsoever and frequently went down. Fire alarms in the middle of the night, also poorly maintained halls that you will be charged to fix. I have been charged almost £300 because someone else in my flat broke a fire door and won’t admit it. I believe that cost has also been split between the two flats the door connected. Laundry was overpriced. Could not recommend any less.
