The staff are really friendly and are always ready to help you . The rooms are also really clean and spacious and good storage space too. The kitchens nice and modern and good spaciousness and there’s large fridges and freezers depending on the flat size.

Really enjoyed my stay at Deakins Place, amazing facility and provides of social support. Clean environment and spacious rooms really great accommodation. Receptionist Jessica is very nice als.

i think the location is perfect, lidl nearby for affordable weekly shops as well as a chicken shop dominos and subway, JD gym right next to it too the rooms are a decent size and i’ve met friends for life here, will definitely miss this place next year definitely book if you’re looking for accommodation for first year, a bit on the more expensive side but worth it for the memories.

I am writing this review as someone who has lived here for 6 months and still has to stay because of a long-term contract. I have also been unable to find anyone to take over my contract. This accommodation is not suitable for people who want peace, quiet, or who have difficulty sleeping. I am a master’s student, and I chose a studio room because I wanted privacy and a quiet place to live and study. Unfortunately, the reality has been completely different. The building is extremely noisy, and the layout is very poor. The studio rooms are surrounded by ensuite rooms, and the walls are connected to shared kitchens. As most residents here are undergraduate students, and many of them often gather for parties or talk loudly in the hallways. If you stay in a studio room, the noise from the corridor comes directly into your room and there is no way to avoid it. Many residents also go out at night and come back very late or early in the morning. They often talk loudly, scream, or shout in the hallways, which seriously disturbs sleep. Even worse, some immature residents randomly knock on other people’s doors for fun, and they knock very hard. This behavior has affected my daily life and mental well-being a lot. Many times, I have suddenly woken up in the middle of the night because of loud conversations outside my room. There were also many occasions when people knocked on my door at 3–4 a.m. I reported these problems to the accommodation staff many times. Although they were aware of the situation, there was no effective solution, only apologies. Another serious problem is that people smoke cannabis inside the building. Even if you close your doors and windows properly, the smell can still enter your room, and air fresheners cannot fully remove it. Because of all these problems, I now experience anxiety from being disturbed and feeling unsafe, especially because of the constant knocking on my door. I also wake up suddenly during the night very often, and of course nobody takes responsibility for it. If you are looking for a quiet and private accommodation, want good mental health, and need proper rest, I strongly suggest considering these problems before making a decision. No one wants to pay £1,000 per month only to damage their mental health and live in a place where they do not feel safe. I decided to write this review because I hope it can help other people. Honestly, I wish someone had written a truthful review like this before I decided to sign a contract with this accommodation.
