Avalon Court Nottingham

I stayed at avalon court booked through xenia for one year whilst studying at confett it is in the perfect location and also reasonably priced compared to others in the same area. Room was clean when I moved in and was even allowed by the landlord to move in a few days early so i could move straight from my old flat, also always found the staff very helpful, especially Hely has always been extremely helpful with any queries or issues I have had throughout my time at avalon court. There are some issues with the building such as the lift not working which made moving in and out quite a bit more difficult but overall I was happy with my stay at avalon court. Thanks 😊

DO NOT MOVE HERE!! EVERY 5 STAR REVIEW IS XENIA!! TRUST ME A student acomadation from hell, homeless shelter is an understatement. Homeless people live in the corridors full time and threaten people. All students are leaving out of fear but still have to pay due to contract. My neighbour got robbed in the building. This is un safe and every night I have to ring the police. I have reported this to the company every day for nearly 12 weeks and nothing is being done. They will promise new safe doors, this never happens. Hely is rude and will lie about security, and thestaff do not care about your safety. To add to this, the drains are broken, you will never have heating, and the whole place sticks of human urine due to it being a homeless shelter. Please never give money to Xenia unless you want to pay to live in a squatting den.

Safety doesnt exist in this place , there are ants on the floor next to reception and there is srill homeless issue even though they said it’s sorted. And there is no security and no events . Not even any freebies

Even 1 star is too much!!! I have stayed here for the past year and honestly it’s the worst experience. The building’s lift has not worked all year, so moving luggage has been such a pain. There has been loud construction opposite the building so that has been such a hassle. The room itself has been awful to deal with. I have made multiple complaints about my freezer door being broken, however they haven’t taken me seriously and told me to sort it out myself. I was shown a different room whilst booking and then given a smaller room once bought. The reception hours are so short and half the year the main building door was broken so homeless people were sleeping everywhere and it felt so unsafe. Do not book this accommodation!

This place does not make students feel safe. Safety is the least of their concerns
