Can’t believe I actually cried last night over what was essentially a glorified hotel room. Maybe it was the dread of going to the next place…of leaving behind the first place I ever lived by myself, or maybe it is the feeling of loss.. of places, of things, and of people I’ve somehow come to love and care about along the way… I guess sometimes you don’t realise something became home until you have to leave it.

I stayed at IQ Salford for 8 months, and I cannot recommend it enough, especially for anyone new to Manchester looking for something affordable and genuinely worth every penny. Finding an ensuite room at this price anywhere in Manchester is nearly impossible, so IQ really does stand out on value alone. But it is not just the price that impressed me. The facilities are brilliant. The gym and sports areas are top-notch, and the security is excellent. I always felt safe and never had to worry about my gadgets or belongings, which means a lot. What made the experience truly special, though, was the staff. Incredibly respectful, always helpful and genuinely welcoming. A special shoutout to Lauren, Safia, Toshin and the weekend team who consistently went above and beyond. You made it feel like home, and I have huge respect for each of you. If you are new to Manchester and looking for an accommodation that is affordable, secure, well-equipped, and run by people who actually care, IQ Student Quarter is the place to be. Highly recommended!

This is the worst accommodation you can come accross I had applied for the booking cancellation because my father was hospitalized I had already submitted the evidence of that but they replied me a month later And they are saying that we have received the evidence late from your side and they have almost deducted my 945 pounds amount Worst management and useless team they have If i could give rating in minus i would have given that

Avoid- Severe infestation throughout multiple blocks Please avoid this place at all costs. There is a clear, deep rooted silverfish infestation throughout the walls of multiple blocks and the staff do not care. I paid thousands for a premium room here and it was an absolute nightmare throughout. I have attached photos of these creatures, all taken over a mere couple of weeks. These photos don’t include the cluster of 30 dead insects at the end of the hall in my first room. These insects come in packs, meaning that if you see one there are hundreds or thousands within the walls. Throughout my stay of about 6 months, I spotted around 100 living insects out in the open. Factually, this could not point to an infestation any clearer, but the staff don’t want to know- putting all of their emphasis on a one minute daytime inspection deeming no infestation, even though the insects are nocturnal. You will likely see these insects darting across your floor at night. They move at horrifying speeds, can lay 100s of eggs at a time and can live for multiple years. They love to hide under clothes piles in your room, they can get into your food to contaminate it and they can even crawl into your bed. I was constantly worried about this, and worried that they would destroy my clothes. After about my 10th complaint, I was even told by one staff member over the phone that they were “harmless”. This was extremely disappointing to hear, and a horrible way to treat paying tenants. These living conditions severely impacted my mental well-being. It even got to the point where I missed multiple uni classes, and it felt like I was living amongst filth. After this dragged out process, I was then moved to a new room across the block, completely disconnected from my previous room. What I can say is, I wasn’t completely suprised to find out that these insects were still present. When this was brought up to them through formal complaint, they showed no urgency in reassuring me that the issue had been sorted out, which is an alarming sign for new residents.. To top this all off, my radiator didn’t work and smelt like a complete fire hazard, forcing me to spend £60 of my own money getting my own online. Horrendous experience here- no accountability taken, just constant deflection. Avoid at all costs.

I had a really positive experience staying here. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-maintained, the facilities are excellent and it has great WiFi speed. The staff are always friendly, approachable, and quick to help with any issues, which made me feel welcome throughout my stay. I’d definitely recommend it to any student looking for quality accommodation in Salford.

I stayed at IQ my room was comfortable with everything I needed. The staff were really friendly and approachable. The assistant manager safiya, especially helped me she was always willing to help whenever I had any questions or any issues. I would highly recommend
