A grotty room and a kitchen with appliances that don't work. That's basically it. The staff have quite a nice building though. It's only a small services desk but they have quite a nice office with its own attached kitchen and laundrette.

This Julian Banville manager guy is ridiculous. Randomly letting himself into flats to "check on things". There's an attitude of hostility from the staff. As though the prescience of students is a problem in the business model that must be controlled and dealt with.
