I moved to Southampton for post graduate study and was adamant I did not want a studio flat or to live in student accommodation. However, I stumbled across this place and asked reception for a viewing just to check out all my options and I instantly knew this is where I wanted to be. The staff have been so kind right from the start. They have not hesitated in fixing any maintenance logs as soon as possible. Even if something could not be fixed immediately, they contacted me to let me know why and when they expect the repairs. The location is perfect, being a walkable distance to the centre and train station. It is close to the bus stop where lots of buses come by, so this location is very well connected. The communal areas are amazing, the sky deck being my personal favourite, and everywhere is kept very clean. The whole building is also very safe and secure. This is a bit more expensive than other student accommodation, but in my experience is well worth the price.

I’ve had a great experience living here. The staff are consistently friendly, patient, and professional, and their service attitude really makes a difference. Cleaning is done promptly and to a high standard, so both my room and shared spaces feel well maintained. Whenever I’ve had an issue, it has been handled quickly, with fast and clear responses to maintenance requests. The public areas have a welcoming, positive atmosphere that feels safe and comfortable. A special highlight is the balcony view—beautiful and relaxing, especially at sunrise and sunset. Highly recommended.

Lovely accommodation, lived here for 2 years whilst studying and felt very safe. So close to the city centre and 24/7 security always available. Any issues with maintenance were efficiently resolved by Alex who is super nice and helpful :) Would recommend

The best place to choose after coming to study in the UK. The location is very good which is in the city center; the apartments are very complete and luxurious, and it is very comfortable to stay here; of course, the services of Eliza and Steve are also very good, and the parties and other activities will be organized every holiday. Deserved the best Southampton student residence. luv that place very much !!

Ideal location with friendly and helpful staff. Whenever an issue has arisen it has been dealt with diligently. Communal spaces are always kept clean by the team and the vast range of amenities are a bonus

⚠️ Avoid this place! International students beware! I was helping my friend move out on their check-out day, but the reception staff came with people, shouted at us, and even pushed us to force us out. We were only helping to carry luggage, yet we were treated so badly. This felt like clear discrimination against international students, and probably just an excuse to keep the deposit. Terrible experience — do not recommend!

I had a very disappointing experience with Cumberland Place. When I signed my tenancy, they promised a £700 cashback offer, but this was never paid to me. I tried to follow up, but nothing was resolved. It feels misleading and dishonest to advertise an incentive and then not deliver it. Students should be aware before booking.

The student accommodation in city central ! Spacious ensuite rooms, 24/7 security, and friendly staff. Great social spaces like cinema room and rooftop terrace. Close to universities and bus stations. Highly recommend for convenience and community vibe!

I've been staying at this accommodation since September 2022, and honestly, I had a fantastic experience living at Cumberland Place, and I have the staff to thank for it. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to make the stay smooth and enjoyable. Oliver and Aleksandra, who work at the front desk, were especially wonderful. They were always available to answer my questions and help me resolve any issues. The maintenance staff were also great and quick to respond to any problems with the room. The staff members truly made this accommodation a 5-star stay, and I am grateful for their dedication and hard work. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience at Cumberland Place. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient living place.
