St Lawrence House

The living experience in St Lawrence was very good. Each room was equipped with a washing machine, making life very convenient. The service at the front desk was also excellent. I have been living here for a year and have reserved a room for next year. During this period, the staff's attitude was very good and they helped me a lot.

The student dormitory provides an excellent living environment. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, creating a welcoming space for studying and resting. The facilities are modern and practical, and the common areas encourage a strong sense of community among students. In addition, the dormitory staff are friendly, responsible, and always willing to help, which makes daily life much easier. Overall, it is a safe, convenient, and pleasant place to live, and I am very satisfied with my experience here.

Such a welcoming and professional team at St Lawrence House! The halls are always clean and well maintained, creating a comfortable living environment. A huge shout out to James and Giovanni for their hard work, friendliness, and professionalism. Always reliable, quick to respond to issues, and genuinely cares about residents — they make a real difference! Set up for the spinning roulette game was well entertaining Great cup of coffee, too :)

Living at St Lawrence House, one has to pay £405 per week. However, the two elevators have been broken for several weeks and no one has repaired them! Every week they keep saying it will take another four weeks to fix it. Climbing up the stairs every day is a torture for both the body and the mind. This is no longer just inconvenient; it constitutes a serious failure in service. We demand: 1. Repair the elevator immediately! 2. Provide rent compensation during the period of service deficiency! We reasonably suspect that they believe that international students have no lawyers here, so they can bully the students at will. The high rent should correspond to services of equivalent value. The well-being of tenants should not be overlooked！

I live in St Lawrence House, Bristol (Homes for Students) and honestly, the management is terrible. Since we moved in at the beginning of September, one lift has been broken and never repaired. On October 22, when the second lift broke, we were told it would take 3–4 weeks to fix. Now, a week later, they’re saying it will take another 4 weeks. So basically, no progress at all. We’re paying £405 per week, but getting no working lifts and no response to complaints or emails. It’s exhausting climbing all those stairs every day, and the lack of communication is just unacceptable. Would not recommend St Lawrence House or Homes for Students to anyone.
