locationally it is great, good access to everything necessary, the only issue is the price - i could barely afford it this year, and with rents going up next academic year, i would have had to find another place to stay if i were to have started university in 2025 Thank you for your review of Stanage accomodation, we are very grateful :). The university has tried to keep accommodation prices as low as possible but external prices outside of the university of Sheffields control has made it impossible for us to avoid price increases for 2025/26. In comparison to a lot of UK universities we are still good value and all bills are included and we have added laundry to this now to try and avoid additional costs where possible.

Stanage is very much one the mucu quiter accomodations in endcliffe. This comes with many pros allowing for chill nights in with minimal noise and distractions. However social wise I have found it very hard to connect with other people in the building, especially during freshers week when you didnt see anyone! Hello and thank you for your review. I am sorry you felt that you didn't see anyone during Freshers Week. This is normally one of the busiest social times of the year !. The Residence Life team put loads of events on across the academic year so you can join in and get out and about and meet lots of people. The Stanage Flats in Endcliffe had a good sense of community. It's a great way to meet people in your first year, being in shared accommodation. Yet, I feel for the price paid, the actual rooms could have been better. The mould cleaning service is not frequent enough, meaning that there is black mould in most of the rooms due to the lack of natural light in the bathrooms. While students can request a maintenance service to remove the mould, it forms quickly again afterwards due to the wet room style bathroom, where the drains are hard to manually unclog, leading to floodings of the rooms when the shower is on. The carpet floors were not properly cleaned, neither the drawers, when I arrived. There was still hair and pencil sharpenings etc in most of the drawers. There is a lack of natural light in the bedrooms, although, it is worse in some rooms than others. Some rooms in my flat had two windows, whereas others just had one and were more cramped. Unfortunately mould can form when moisture stays trapped, so if your extraction fan in the bathroom is not working properly we'd always recommend reporting this to maintenance as well, or cracking a window open to let the air flow. Reasonable overall but a little far from campus and a lack of common areas bar the singular Edge
