iQ Brocco

Based on my observations, I would like to share an overall review of this place. I will highlight both the positive aspects and areas where improvements are needed. iQ Brocco is a welcoming and budget-friendly student accommodation in Sheffield. The property consists of two blocks, A and B, and is home to students from a variety of cultural backgrounds. One of the strongest aspects of this accommodation is the staff team. Individuals such as Archie, Richard, Cameron, Joe, Charlotte, Lile, and Rob are friendly, approachable, and always helpful, making the overall experience more comfortable. The student community is generally respectful, and it is usually a peaceful place to live, which makes it suitable for both studying and relaxing. The accommodation offers essential facilities including laundry, shared dining kitchens, and a small recreational/play area. Also you can securely park your bike in bike store. If you experience loud noise, see something that does not look right then just call at reception and the site team would handle it appropriately. The location is very convenient, with excellent connectivity to key destinations in the city. • University of Sheffield – 5–10 min walk • Sheffield Hallam University – 15–20 min walk • Sheffield City Centre – 15–20 min walk • Bus stops – West Street, Glossop Road, The Moor (frequent city services) • Tram stops – West Street, University of Sheffield, Cathedral (Sheffield Supertram) • Amenities – Tesco Express and local shops within a few minutes’ walk ⸻ 🔧 Areas for Improvement • The recreational/play area could be upgraded with more gaming facilities. • A dedicated, quiet cinema room would be a valuable addition to enhance the student experience. • Improving the vacuuming/hoovering of floors in shared areas and stairways would be greatly appreciated. In a nutshell, this accommodation offers good value for money, with quick fixes, friendly staff, affordable rent, and a handy location near the university. Thank you!

It is a nice place and very cheap. They have a friendly with staff at the reception 24/7. Also has a mobile app which is easy to use. They have induction hobs which are easy to clean. Had trouble with the oven and they had it replaced with a new one. New oven also has timers for auto shutdown which is cool. I find the separate hot and cold taps in the bathroom uncomfortable to use but it's manageable.

Beautiful accommodation to live in for such an incredible price! Weekly activities, so you can get to know other people in the building as well as getting to meet different staff. The staff are super helpful and supportive! Especially Archie, who has made me and my friends feel incredibly welcome. Any issue I have has been resolved promptly, not that there have been many! Would definitely recommend this place to any student in Sheffield.

A fantastic place. Jamie and Megan on reception were simply brilliant and went above and beyond to help me during my visit. The standard of cleanliness in the public areas is exemplary and a credit to everyone who works here, as are the on site facilities, with hot drinks readily available in reception. I will certainly be returning!!

Don’t bother with this awful company - they will hoard your money if you’re eligible for a refund they won’t give it you! £400+ gone! I’ve never even moved in they’ll mess you about with they’re going to give it you in a certain time frame again and again and they never will!

SCAMMERS!!!! Be aware if you don’t get in the University of your choice they won’t refund you like they said they would in the contract. They told me 14 days for a refund after a submitted for one then 10 days after IVE NEVER RECIEVED IT. after giving them over £400 do not book with this company, on trustpilot say the same experience!!

worth finding a lower floor considering the lifts' model year is about 2006. Plus one 630kg per block

Feedback for IQ BROCCO Building structure is too narrow, kitchen at the end of a narrow and long corridor that links 5 rooms, very small and extremely unsociable; 5 people but only one fridge; toilet doesn’t have a window and relies on a fan, so always smells wet and even grows moss; The only window can only be opened a slit, which results in high room temperature in the summer and makes it difficult to sleep at night, not to mention that there is still only one slit window in the kitchen, making the room too hot to bear; has a heating pad but smells like burning and can’t be on for long, making the room as cold as outside in winter; mattress always sinks in the middle and has been replaced 3 times; bed is too short for anyone higher than 6’; and the walls don’t block out noise effectively, can always hear roommates yelling, singing, playing music etc; fire alarm often goes off, even in the middle of the night; and can’t refund although I moved out 3 months early Now the pros: fixing’s very fast, staffs are overwhelmingly friendly, price is cheap and a nice distance from the uni, but won’t consider twice

Really nice place to stay in for students. Friendly staff, always here to listen or help. Although, there’s some issues that you may experience in your room like the heater, thin walls and etc.

IQ Brocco was a lovely accommodation to stay at for my final year of study especially for the price. Archie and Charlotte were both very helpful with my queries and sorting out any issues I had with my room. The facilities were also decent and the location was perfect being close to university and the city centre.
