The Walls

I love living at The Walls. From friendly staff, tons of cute activities planned for residents, to a great location, I’m so glad I chose this student accommodation. If there are ever any issues, which have been minimal, staff is extremely responsive and it’s an easy fix! I’d definitely recommend this accommodation to any students looking for a great place to live in downtown Southampton.

This is my second year staying here, I couldn’t have been more satisfied. The location is strategic it’s very close to pretty much anything and everything. Also got 24h security. Never had an issue. The rooms are very spacious as well and surprisingly cheaper than most other university accommodations (which cost more for less space). Great amenities. They couldn’t have hired a better manager, always taking care of things, great energy, always smiling, just makes this accommodation that much better. I highly recommend it for any student looking for a place to stay.

Terrible accommodation. Infested with ants from the first day i moved in, leaking pipes, overheated all year round, still doing repairs after I’d already moved in instead of making sure everything was suitable before i arrived. some staff were extremely rude one even shouted at me because i didn't know who he was. very noisy neighbours, fire alarms disrupting your day more than 3 times a week, and rooms very much smaller than advertised. please save your money.

This company are nothing short of common thieves. I advise any and all to stay far clear. I booked a room, to which payment was taken, only to arrive and be told it was cancelled by them, with no offer of assistance. There is no receptionist, no telephone number and no customer service - only a poor 3rd Party security guard who wasn't even aware initially. No refund is possible after several weeks. I have involved my credit card company, and will naturally pursue further action, but I strongly advise against booking any stay. Update: After having contacted any and all related email addresses that I could find, I have now received a refund - no apology and no compensation. I would still strongly advise to avoid.

Booked and paid for a one night stay here through Hotels.com. Day before I still hadn’t heard anything. Tried contacting the property but no response Hotels.com couldn’t contact them either. Eventually found the number and rang the student accommodation number who said they can’t check in guests at the weekend. Happy to take your money but complete lack of service or empathy. If they can’t organise themselves on a one night stay, I dread to think how they treat students!
