• •The crowd is genuinely diverse. Leicester is one of the UK's most multicultural cities, which shows in the food, the shops and the community around the property.

What is included. Water, electricity, heating, high speed Wi-Fi and contents insurance, plus free gym access, the common area with games, outdoor social space, laundry availability, bike storage, vending, recycling, an on site service team and twenty four hour assistance.

Instalments. Students with a permanent UK home address usually access one, three or seven instalment options. International students without a UK guarantor typically face fewer, larger payments unless an approved guarantor service is used.

Deposit. An advance rent payment of around £250 secures your room and is adjusted against your rent rather than held separately. Any additional security amounts follow standard UK deposit protection rules and are returned after check out.

Cooling off period. A short cancellation window applies after signing, during which you can withdraw and recover your advance payment. Check the tenancy agreement carefully along with our refund policy and terms and conditions.

No Visa No Pay. If your student visa application is refused, the booking can normally be cancelled without penalty on production of the official refusal letter.

No Place No Pay. If your university offer does not come through or you miss your grades, the booking can usually be cancelled with written evidence from the institution.

• •Accessible rooms exist. Partly accessible and wheelchair accessible en suites are available, though numbers are limited so early booking matters.

Arrival. Fly into Birmingham or East Midlands Airport, both under an hour away, or into Heathrow and take a train from London St Pancras to Leicester in around seventy minutes. Leicester station is a walkable distance from Raw Dykes Road, though a taxi is easier with luggage. Book your arrival slot with reception in advance.

No UK guarantor. Payment terms differ depending on whether your permanent address is inside or outside the UK. Without a UK guarantor, international students often pay in fewer, larger instalments. Approved guarantor services such as Housing Hand can act on your behalf for a fee, unlocking standard instalment plans.

Visa safety net. The No Visa No Pay clause protects you if your student visa application is refused. Submit the official refusal letter promptly and the booking can normally be cancelled with your advance payment returned, subject to the tenancy terms.

Setup. In your first week, register with a local GP surgery, open a UK bank account with a digital provider like Monzo or Revolut, collect your BRP if applicable, buy a UK SIM card, and get a student bus pass if you will commute across the city.

Home food. Leicester is exceptional for this. Belgrave Road is one of the best places in the UK for South Asian groceries and food, Narborough Road covers African, Middle Eastern and Eastern European ingredients, and Leicester Market sells fresh produce at very low prices.
